Edward John Freidrich Paysen
Edward John Freidrich Paysen was born in Central Butte, SK on March 4th, 1919 to John and Barbra Paysen. He passed away Sunday, August 7th, 2011 at the age of 92 years in Jubilee Home at Lloydminster, SK. He leaves to mourn his wife, Mary; son, Dean and his wife Donna Paysen of Sherwood Park, AB; daughter, Donna and her husband John Brown of Paradise Valley, AB; grandchildren Riley and Jodie Paysen of Sherwood Park, AB, Kyla and her husband Nevin Purser of Lloydminster, Holly and Kody Lange of Lloydminster, and Klay, Kole and Konner Brown of Paradise Valley, AB; and great-grandchildren Mataya Paysen, Carys Purser and Leah Lange. He also leaves to mourn his sister Martha and her husband Ted Hoover of Richmond, BC, his sister-in-law Edna Paysen of Central Butte, SK and many nieces and nephews. Ed was predeceased by his sisters Elise and her husband Boyd Coulson, Emma Curry, Erna and her husband Harry Foster, and Elsie; and his brothers Ernie and Werner. Ed and Mary were married at Trinity Lutheran Church in Central Butte, SK on October 26th, 1947. They resided on the farm for two years and then moved to Moose Jaw due to Ed’s health. Ed and Mary were happily married for 63 years. Ed enjoyed a variety of sports as a participant and mostly as a spectator in later years. He always enjoyed playing cards and any social activity with friends and family. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 20th, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane, Moose Jaw, SK, with lunch to follow. Interment will be held after the lunch at Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery, south of Central Butte, SK. Donations in Ed’s name may be made to the Equipment Fund at Jubilee Home, 3902 – 45th Ave. Lloydminster, SK S9V 1Z2, where Ed lived out his final days. He will be dearly missed by all.
