Bert we go back many years – you told me you didn’t want to be the one to put the lights out – you had a bright light Bertie! Our friendship made my life richer with so many great memories – I wish we had been able to get together in the last little while but weather and health got in the way but we had our phone calls . We had lots of peaks and valleys between us but always found our way back. I loved you and your family – thanks for it all Bertie the good and the bad – I will miss you in this life – God bless you always! My sincere thoughts to your grandchildren so sorry I didn’t get to meet them but you told me about them – I did get to meet your special friend from the south I’m very glad you had that friendship to fight the loneliness – so long Bertie till we meet again love always!
Dear Roberta, you asked us to call you Roberta because you had always disliked Bertie so Roberta it is! Although we just reconnected, after seventy some years, this last fall, it meant a lot to my daughter Pam, my niece Lori and myself, We had an absolutely great visit with you and had hoped to see you again. We did have some great phone conversations, which I’ll never forget! you are, and will be, greatly missed, but we know that you are now happily reunited with the love of your life, Mel, and your son, Dick. You will always be in our prayers as we know we will be in yours! Love you always, your cousin, Gerry Robbie (granddaughter of Mel’s Aunt Bertha)
