KATHLEEN ELIZABETH PARKER
May 17th, 1924 – March 26th, 2024
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Kathleen Elizabeth Parker aged 99 years of Moose Jaw, SK, on Monday, March 26th, 2024.
Kathleen was born on the homestead at Lucky Lake, SK. She married her husband Scottie in 1944 and they moved to Moose Jaw, where they raised their family. Kathleen worked for several years at Eaton’s until the store closed.
Kathleen was a lady with a kind and generous heart. She loved her family, especially the grandkids. She was known by all her friends as Kay. Nothing would make her happier than a good card game of canasta, cribbage, or Chasing the A’s, with family or friends. Kay was a member of the Rebecca’s Lodge #54, well into her 90’s.
She was predeceased by her husband, Scotty; son, Garnet; and her siblings. Left to cherish Kay’s memory are her son, Keith (Karen); grandchildren: Curtis, Chris and their mother Darlene, Ashley (Khristopher), Kim (Michael) and their mother Janice; great-grandchildren: Jessica, Jordan, Brandon, Jaden, and Beauden; great-great-grandchildren, Cameron and Desmond; as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank all the staff at Extendicare for all their compassionate care during her final days.
The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 5th, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Pastor Marvin Seaborg will officiate and a private family interment will take place in Rosedale Cemetery at a later date. Those not able to attend may view the service virtually by going to www.moosejawfuneralhome.com/
My sincere condolences to Kay’s family. I grew up across the street from the Parker’s on 9th Ave. Great family and Kay was such a kind and gracious lady. I hadn’t seen her for several years and often thought of her during this period. She will be missed and remembered always. Brian and Gwen Montague
