Ken was born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan on September 26th, 1937, to parents Gladys and Bert Norman. Ken was the eldest of two sons. He met the love of his life, Doreen Yanke, and the happy couple were married in 1962. They began their life together in Moose Jaw, SK and they later moved to a rural property just south of Moose Jaw, SK where they farmed and spent most of their married life together.
Ken dealt with dementia in his later years which prevented him from doing many of the things that he had previously enjoyed. He spent his last few years at Providence Place. A special thank you from the family goes out to Providence Place and to all the staff on both the Guardian Grove and the St. Anthony wards for their kindness, compassion and care that was extended to both Ken and the family during his time there.
He was predeceased by his parents, Gladys (née: McLees) and Bert Norman; and youngest son, Brent. Ken will be greatly missed by his wife, Doreen; daughter, Shauna (Glen) Belsher; son, Duane (Cheryl Rozon); and his only grandchild, Heather Belsher; brother, Graham (Sharon); as well as many other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ken’s name may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan, 301 2550 12th Ave, Regina, SK S4P 3X1 www.alzheimer.ca. Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane. Cara Ashworth Funeral Director 306-693-4550
