Thinking of you, Joyce (& family) as you adjust to life without Don. He is definitely celebrating. I know you will rejoice with him but miss him sorely. We have good memories of visits with you both, a meal at your
home, at church, at Kedleston & especially in the great outdoors at Wiener Wed in Wakamow. Don was such an example of steadfast faith & true grit.God bless you & be well.
Don’s waving goodbye with a happy look that says “see you soon”. We have a hope and will join him before long. We are praying peace for you Joyce and the family. Hugs and much love. George and Ruth.
So sorry to learn of Mr. Nordin’s passing. He was such a loving, kind man. I have very fond memories of him as the Sunday School superintendent when I was a child from where I still remember many of the childhood Sunday School songs. Becoming friends with Sherri, I appreciated how he would always share such fun-loving stories in the car as he drove us to the Nordin family home after church. One day he came to our home as a Sask Power employee and made such a friendly conversation with my dad. He was one of the best examples of a true Christian from all my memories of him. I hope he sees my Dad in heaven so they can shake hands. They are probably rejoicing that their race is done and they are watching how we each finish ours.
Hanging out at Sherri’s house provided me with some fun memories and I’m grateful to the Nordin family. I love the memory of when Lynnette and Sherri and I were doing dishes and Lynnette turned the soap suds into an evangelistic tool. “These are all our sins (pointing at a huge pile of suds)… and then Jesus comes along and washes them all away.” She said as she hosed all the bubbles into the sink and down the drain. So creative! So fun! Then, the trips out to the Voyaguer restaurant in Dorlyn’s car. He tolerated us (kid sister and her friend). LOL. Then, one memorable moment up at the front of the church. I saw Sherri and her dad in a long, comforting embrace while the music played and people prayed. You’ll have such opportunities again, Sherri. He loves you so much.
I pray that this season of saying goodbye will go smoothly and that each of you experience peace, in Jesus name.
