Donald Wayne Noble
Noble, Donald Wayne passed away peacefully at home with his family on September 10th, 2011 in Moose Jaw, Sask at the age of 71 years. Beloved husband of Bev for 49 years. Loving father to Brenda (Warren) Winter, Denise (Daryl) Shewchuk, Sherri (Darren) Mackie, cherished grandfather of Jeri Lee and Brett Winter, Derek Noble, Danielle and Dvonne Shewchuk, Taylor and Hunter Mackie, and great-grand-daughter, Avienn Winter. He is survived and missed by his sisters Joyce (Irwin) Manske, Lillian (Les) Willford and brother Gerald (Gladys) Noble, sister-in-laws Elaine (Butch) Hicks and Lois Eger (Darel Planz). Also he will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Donald was predeceased by his parents Ernest and Ethel Noble, father and mother-in-law Frank and Jean Eger, brother-in-law Brian Eger, sister-in-law Cynthia Eger, niece Lori Martin, and family friend Lloyd White. Don grew up on the family farm in the Coronach District. He married Bev in 1962. His passion for farming led him in that direction and they settled on the farm at Coronach where they spent 40 years and raised their family and became a well respected farmer. Don, in his earlier years loved boating, playing fastball, snowmobiling and strumming his guitar and listening to music. He loved sports and travelled many miles to watch his grandchildren taking part in their various sports. He was an avid fan of the Moose Jaw Warriors and the Saskatchewan Roughriders. He was a great armchair curler, never missing a shot. They moved to Moose Jaw in 2002 and enjoyed lots of good times with family and friends during the winter months. Special thanks to Dr. Kakumanu and nurse Jennifer, the staff of the Allan Blair Cancer Clinic, Moose Jaw Palliative Care nurses and home-care workers for all the excellent care that Don received during his illness. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, September 14th, 2011 at 2:30 PM at the Moose Jaw Alliance Church located at Thatcher Drive and 9th Avenue NW. Donations may be made to the Sask. Curling Association Sport Legacy Fund, cheques may be made payable to the National Sport Trust Fund and forward to SCA, 613 Park St., Regina, SK S4N 5N1 or the Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada, P.O.
