John F. Niewenhuizen
Mr. John F. Niewenhuizen of Moose Jaw, SK passed away suddenly on Saturday, August 27th, 2011. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, Jackie; daughter, Jill (Joey) and her children Mason, Kabry and Kyrin; son, Ben; sisters, Tina and Louise (Robert) Hage; stepsons, Craig Nestman (Wanda) and children Devin and Samantha; Shawn Nestman; Rodney (Carrie) Nestman and their children Brayden, Caileb, Payton and Jaena; mother-in-law, Annie Beitel; sisters and brothers-in-law, Cheryl Beitel, Jerry and Leona Hicke, Walter and Maxine Dalrymple, and Lorraine Fisher; and nephews, nieces and many cousins in the Netherlands. John was predeceased by his parents, John and Louise; father-in-law, Zacharias Beitel and brother-in-law, Kenneth Beitel. John was born in The Hague, Holland on December 23rd, 1954. He lived there until 1957 upon which time he immigrated to Canada with his family. He attended elementary and high school in Moose Jaw, then SAIT Technical School in Calgary, becoming an electrician. He worked in the industrial field throughout most of Canada and at the time of his passing was employed at Moose Jaw Refinery. John had a love for travel and the outdoors. He and Jackie spent many vacations travelling, sightseeing, camping and enjoying the water on their boat. He loved and cherished every moment he spent with his family and friends. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 1st, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 1064 3rd Ave. N.W., Moose Jaw with Father Rick Krofchek presiding. Interment will take place at Sunset Cemetery. Those so wishing may make donations in John’s memory to a charity of their choice.
