Departed this life on August 22, 2007 at Providence Place, Moose Jaw with her family at her side. Fernie was predeceased by her parents, Frank & Inez Stearns; 3 sisters and 2 brothers; husband, Clifford Edwards in 1963; second husband, Kenneth New in 1973; and great-grandson Devin McKechnie in 2007. Fernie is survived by her four children: Opal (Wally) Schick, DoraHansen, Lynda Endicott, and Buster (Phyllis) Edwards; 13 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. In keeping with Fernie’s wishes, A Private Family Funeral will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Providence Place Foundation Inc, 100-2 nd Ave N.E., Moose Jaw, SK., S6H 1B8.
