Ernie Nesnick

1936 – 2010

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ernie on Sunday, March 21st, 2010 at 73 years of age, after a courageous five year battle with cancer. Ernie was predeceased by his beloved Baba Karolina. He is survived by his mother Mary of Vancouver; his companion CarolRobinson and her family, Colleen Green, Erin (Mark) Gabel and Kevin; grandchildren Brooke, Morgan, Cole and Cody; along with several aunts and cousins; and his dog Jax. Born in Moose Jaw, Ernie moved to the west coast as a young man and travelled the carnival circuit working in gaming. He returned to Moose Jaw several times during his lifetime but the lure of the west coast kept calling him back. He returned to Moose Jaw in 1990 and has resided here ever since. Being a gambling man, Ernie loved thoroughbred horse racing and visits to the casino. He was also an avid fan of the Moose Jaw Warriors. Cremation has taken place. At Ernie’s request, no funeral service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ernie may be made to the Moose Jaw Humane Society, Box 1658 Station Main, Moose Jaw, Sask. S6H 9Z9.
