Dorothy Needer
Dorothy Needer – Friday July 18th, 2008 our mother, grand-mother, great-grand-mother, sister-in law, aunt and friend passed away at the age of 83 years with her family by her side after a brief battle with cancer. She was born in Ceylon , Saskatchewan May 9th, 1925. Dorothy taught school in Truax. She met and married George Needer in 1948. They farmed in the Rouleau area until they retired. Dorothy remained in their home in Rouleau after George passed away. Dorothy was a homemaker, a member of the Royal Purple Lodge and CWL. She enjoyed family and friends, winter trips with her sisters Cecelia and Lorraine to Arizona and in recent years, trips to Mexico with her family. Her home, family and friends were most important to her and she was always ready to lend a helping hand to whom ever was in need. She was a kind, generous, fun-loving, quick-witted lady who loved life and lived it to the fullest. Dorothy is predeceased by her husband, George; parents, Patrick and Mary Duddy; three sisters and one brother Lorraine (Rexall) Gray, Agnes (Michael) Madigan, Cecile (Louis) Cimolai and Charles (Gertie) Duddy. Dorothy is survived and will be dearly missed by her four children Merrylyne (Jim) Coward, Lana Needer, Barry (Cathy) Needer, and Patricia (Doug) Ferguson; seven grand children Cole (Robin) Coward, Shayna (Chris) Coward, Cameron Coward, Bryce (Andrea) Needer, Brooke Needer, Michelle Ferguson and Cade Ferguson; and three great grand children Brolin, Evan, and Hayley; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Wilcox at St. Augustins Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday July 23rd, 2008 at 2:00 PM. Fr.Eusebio Tubale Jr will be the Presiding Celebrant and burial will take place at Rouleau Cemetery. For those so wishing, memorial donations may be made in Dorothy’s name to the Allan Blair Cancer Centre, c/o Pasqua Hospital , 4101 Dewdney Ave. , Regina , Sk , S4T 7T1 .
