Gordon James Nash
Gordon James Nash, aged 74 years of Moose Jaw, SK., passed away peacefully on June 27th, 2010. Gordon worked at the CPR, was a teacher at Thom Collegiate and Saskatchewan Technical Institute (STI), and worked in Human Resources at Gulf Oil and the Department of Highways. He also served as the Mayor of Riverhurst, SK. Gordon’s greatest joy was his family, including his precious grandchildren and was known to have a servant heart. He enjoyed fishing, baking “Grandpa’s buns”, nature and making pancake breakfasts for his grandchildren. Gordon was predeceased by his parents, Philip & Edith Nash; sisters, Mary & Lenore Nash, and Wanda Corlett; and brother, Philip Nash. Gordon is survived by his wife of 45 years, Mary Nash (nee Hunter); daughters, Holly (Michael) Loewen and Emma, Alison (Wade) Langin and Braeden & Keon; sisters, Grace (Bud) Jackson and family, and Norma (Rusty) Restoule and family; and brother, Harv (Helen) Nash and family. A Memorial Tea will be held on Saturday, July 3rd, 2010 at 2:00 pm in the Harvey Room at Moose Jaw Funeral Home. A very heartfelt thanks to Gordon’s brother, Harv, for his extra special love and care during Gordon’s illness. Thank you to the Moose Jaw Five Hills Health Region – Palliative Home Care Program and the Moose Jaw EMS. As well, special thanks to Marie and the many other special Home Care staff.
