Patrick Morris Murphy
Patrick Morris Murphy, aged 74 years of LaFleche, SK, passed away suddenly on Monday, July 13th, 2015 at the Moose Jaw Union Hospital. Pat was born on December 27th, 1940. He was predeceased by his parents, Irene and George; brother, Russell; and his first wife, Angela. Pat leaves to mourn his loss: his wife of 25 years, Cherryl Murphy; sister, Diane (Ron) Morton; daughters: Diane Lebreton-Kellar (Mark), Suzanne (Brian) Foy Murphy, Debra Murphy and Sheryl (Brian) Sokolowicz; step-children: Sherry (Gerry) Andrushuk, Shawn (Ashley) Twigge and Stacy Twigge; 19 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; as well as his nieces and nephews. Pat retired from the RCAF in 1992 after 30 years of service. In his retirement, he and his wife Cherryl shared their time between Thomson Lake Regional Park in southern Saskatchewan for the summers and Fountain of Youth Spa Resort in southern California for the winters. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, woodworking and restoring golf carts and vintage cars. He often organized activities in California including bocce ball tournaments, desert golf and Frisbee golf. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, July 23rd, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, 5020 Sherwood Drive, Regina, SK. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice or to STARS Air Ambulance, 2640 Airport Road, Regina, SK S4W 1A3, a charity Pat liked to support.
