Victoria (VICKY) Mulholland

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Vicky on Friday, November 3rd, 2017 at the age of 95 years.  Vicky was born May 24th, 1922 to George and Elizabeth Kappelar on the homestead farm near Central Butte, SK and was appropriately named Victoria after the reigning Queen Victoria.  She married Bill Mulholland (deceased 2001) in 1942 and they lived in and farmed near Central Butte for many years.  In her retirement years Vicky lived at Iver Main care home in Central Butte, Extendicare Moose Jaw, and at her passing was living at Providence Place in Moose Jaw.  As well as being a farm wife she worked at the local hospital, volunteered at the rink, and raised three surviving children, Ron (Helen) – Regina, Phyllis Adrian (Barry) – Moose Jaw, and Garnet – Central Butte.  Vicky was the last surviving sibling of seven brothers and sisters of the Kappelar family: Tillie Miller, Joe, Josie Crowther, Frank (Hack), Mary Mulholland, Andy, and Rudy.  She also had seven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 10th, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in Central Butte United Church.  Sandra Fowler will officiate and interment will follow at Central Butte Cemetery.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Todd Sjoberg, Funeral Director 306-693-4550
