Eileen Adeline Morrison (née: Fryklund)
Eileen Adeline Morrison (née: Fryklund), aged 84 years of Moose Jaw, SK passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 15th, 2019. Eileen was born on December 31st, 1934 in Archive, SK to Melvin and Gladys Fryklund. She went to Enterprise Elementary School, followed by Thomson Lake School, and then onto Normal School to study stenography. Eileen married John Morrison on April 4th, 1959 at St. Andrew’s Church in Moose Jaw, SK. Together they raised three sons: Jan, Michael, and Scott. Eileen worked at CIBC as a stenographer for 32 years until her retirement in 1993. Eileen enjoyed hosting dinner parties, sharing her delicious baking, and keeping those around her laughing with her sharp sense of humour. She had a fondness for gardening, travelling, and shopping – particularly for shoes and jewelry. She was an involved member of the Anavets Local 252. She was predeceased by her mother, Gladys Fryklund; father, Melvin Fryklund; brother, Clarence Fryklund; sister-in-law, Twila Fryklund; and daughter-in-law, Anita Moysey. Eileen will be lovingly remembered by her sons: Jan, Mike (Charlene Mack), and Scott (Lou Cannon); grandchildren: Timothy Morrison, Jason Morrison, Johnathon Mack (Kathy), Matthew Mack (Melissa), April Cannon (Joseph Grohs), and Brian Cannon (Savannah Thomas); siblings: Marvin Fryklund (Ethel), Marie McCarthy (Pat), and Lois Smith; life-long friend, Louise Morris; as well as many friends, nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of the Dialysis Unit at Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital, nephrologist Dr. M.H. Abdulhadi, and Gary Couzens, Paratransit driver, for their excellent care and compassion. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 31st, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home.
