Siegmund Morhart

Siegmund lost his battle with cancer on Monday, August 28th, 2017, just shy of his 87th birthday.  He was predeceased by his 1st wife, June Morhart and 2nd wife, Adeline Ching; parents, Frank and Anne Morhart; siblings: Zack, Frank, Marie, and Rosie; sons-in-law, Bill Milne and D’Arcy Dighans.  Siegmund is survived by his children: Carol Dighans, Dan (Debbie) Morhart, Edwina Milne (Dave Richards), Freda (George) Hubert, Glenda Eldstrom, Holden (Janit) Morhart, Adrian (Cindy) Morhart, and Owen (Laurinda) Morhart; 28 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild; siblings: Regina (Frank) Tress, Anton (Mary) Morhart, Annie Tarr, and John (Muriel) Morhart; as well as his extended family the Ching children.  Siegmund was born on the homestead in Spring Valley, SK.  He worked for the C.P. Rail for 36 years and lived in numerous towns.  Siegmund retired in Lanigan, SK as a road master.  He moved to Moose Jaw, SK in 2010 to be closer to family, and he moved into Crescent Park Villa in late 2012 due to health issues.  In keeping with Siegmund’s wishes, a Private Family Service will be held.  Interment will take place in Rockglen Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest next to Adeline.  We wish to thank the staff of Crescent Park Villa and Dr. F.H.
