Eddie Mohr
It is with great sadness that we regretfully announce the loss of our dear Dad and “Gramps” Eddie at the age of 80 years. He passed away at the Union Hospital February 12th, 2008 with his family by his side. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 16th, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 15 Paul Dr. Rev. John Kreutzwieser will officiate and interment will take place at Rosedale Cemetery. Eddie married the love of his life Muriel and together they raised two daughters Cheryl and Bonnie. Eddie and Muriel enjoyed many winters traveling in their motorhome to Arizona where they acquired many treasured memories which where unfortunately cut short due to Muriel’s ongoing battle with MS. Eddie devoted endless time caring for her. Dad and Mom enjoyed many years raising his family in Churchill Park. Numerous hours where spent shoveling snow on the Moose Jaw River to prepare a rink for all to enjoy. Eddie enjoyed many mornings having coffee with his very good friend Charlie and his C.P.R. buddies at Coffee Row. Dad worked as a C.P.R. Engineer from 1943 until his retirement in 1986 and was extremely proud to know his Grandson Derrick would be carrying on his legacy. Gramps loved and was very proud of all of his Grandchildren and their outstanding accomplishments in their chosen careers. Predeceased by his loving wife Muriel in 2001 and numerous brothers and a sister. He is survived by his daughter Cheryl (Rick) Hembroff and Bonnie (Ed) Konihowski; grandchildren Kim (Steve) Merriam, Marty (Christa) Hembroff, Derrick (Corrina) Konihowski and Kristy Konihowski (Darren Soyka); great-grandchildren Shayla, Janayah, Madison, Caelyn, Easton, Durele and Keianna; sisters Louise Ryan of Edmonton and Martha Zerbin of Regina as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank Dr. Sanderson and the phenomenal nursing staff on the first floor of the Union Hospital. Their countless hours of support and kindness will always be remembered.
