Frank Kurt Miller
June 10th, 1944 – December 20th, 2016
Frank was born in Prince Albert, SK to Harry and Betty Miller. After health issues, Frank passed away in Moose Jaw, SK on Tuesday, December 20th, 2016. He was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Jimmy and Danny; and sister, Rachel. At age 12, Frank spent a summer at Roland (Slim) and Theresa Young’s place at Crestwynd, SK. His curiosity and love of the Young family led him to follow them to Colinton, AB in 1959 and to Peace River, AB in 1962. A lifetime of adventure ensued, from iron worker, ranch life, taxi driver, to having his own store, not all good though. However good things came from that and he spent many years helping others, leaving lifelong memories and lasting friendships. Frank is survived by his daughter, Tina (Jim) Brooker; grandchildren, Tamara and Travis; and sister-in-law, Sharon Miller; his adoptive family of Peace River, AB: Smokey Young (Brian King), Ted (Cory) Young, son Roland Young, wife Faith and children Makayla, Gavin, and Cade, and other son Dustin Young, wife Alysia and children Alexandria and Odin. Frank is also survived by many friends and a “One of a Kind Fellowship” that he called home. After many trials and tribulations, his understanding of a concept, love of his new “Home”, supposedly gruffness and straight from the heart talk, he helped many find themselves and enjoy better lives. A special thank you to Leiann, Kim, lifelong friends Jerry, Howard and Kathy, and all the others who touched and helped Frank during his health struggles and journey. His straight forwardness, caring and humor will be missed. Frank is loved and respected by all who knew him. In keeping with Frank’s wishes, a Private Service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane. James Murdock, Funeral Director 306-693-4550
