Carrie Lynn Mellom
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carrie Lynn Mellom on Wednesday, November 1, 2023. Carrie was predeceased by her brother, Brad Montgomery; grandson, Carter Deitz and father, Stan Montgomery.
Carrie leaves behind her loving husband, Larry Mellom; mother, Elsie Montgomery; daughters, Courtney (Jarett) and Candace. Her pride and joy her grandchildren: Hunter (Charity), Hailey, Hannah, Kaden (Elissa) and Oaklynn. Her brothers, Rod (Lisa); Greg (Sharon); Corey (Rose); Jeff (Clarice) and her sister, Lana; mother in law, Betty Mellom; sisters in law, Annamae (George) and Yvonne (Corey); brother in law, John along with many nieces nephews and her two best friends, Paula and Janice.
Throughout the years, Carrie enjoyed coaching baseball with her father Stan, taking Courtney all over playing a sport that their family loved. She also enjoyed watching her grandkids play and was one of their biggest fans. She enjoyed taking Candace to riding lessons and to the horseshows. She enjoyed spending countless hours with her grandchildren creating a special bond with each and every one of them. She was their person, their rock and their go to. She was all about her family and enjoyed the outdoors and playing family game nights. She loved playing dominos at Christmas time and catching Larry and Hunter trying to trade there’s for new ones. She found the love of her life in Larry, and loved joking around and teasing him. His sense of humor brought out the best in her. There trips to Nashville meant the world to her and she was over the moon to go with Larry and see the sights she always wanted to see with him. She was a fun loving person with a heart of gold. She always put herself last over anybody else, she would make sure everyone was taken care of before herself. She meant the world to a lot of people and will forever be greatly missed by her family, friends and her puppy Tucker.

Rod, Corey & entire Montgomery family,
My sincere condolences to all of you on the loss of Carrie. She will be missed by anyone who had the good fortune to know her. I feel blessed to have known Carrie and have great memories of going to Bingo with her and my brother back in the day. I could not keep up with the numbers playing 3 cards and there was Carrie with half a table of cards. I hope that you all find comfort with your memories as you move forward.
Our most sincerest condolences to the Montgomery Family. Cherish the great memories.
Sincerely,
Lloyd and Sandi Luhning
