Bessie Eileen Meeds
Bessie Eileen Meeds, aged 94 years of Caronport, SK passed away on Tuesday, August 2nd, 2022, eleven days after her 94th birthday. She joins her husband, Wesley; son-in-law, Gary; parents, Robert and Hessie Duffey; sisters: Elsie, Myrtle, and Laura; brother, Donald; sister-in-law, Charlotte; brothers-in-law: Percy, Reg, and Charles; nephew, Bob; as well as her precious taddy cat, Sansaba. Left to celebrate Bessie’s life are: her daughter, Linda; grandchildren, Steven (Rod) and Scott (Opal); sisters, Nina and Leila; many nieces and nephews; and grand-dog, Panda.
Bessie sang with the Sweet Adeline’s and The Golden Voices choirs, and she loved to go to Timothy Eaton’s to paint with the painting class. Most of all she loved being on the family farm where she was born and still lived, enjoying annual visits from her sisters, family and friends. Bessie particularly liked watching the cows and all of the wildlife and birds.
The family would like to thank Dr. King and the staff at the Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital, as well as the wonderful staff at Memory Lane in Pioneer Lodge for their compassionate care.
In keeping with Bessie’s wishes, a Private Family Service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bessie’s name may be made to The Moose Jaw Humane Society, Box 1658 Station Main, Moose Jaw, SK S6H 7K7. We are going to miss Bessie. She had such a loving heart and a great sense of humor. Wishing the family comfort at this difficult time.
