Dorothy McWilliams
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our Mother Dorothy McWilliams. Dorothy passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 31st, 2010 at Providence Place in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 5th, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in Hillcrest Apostolic Church. Pastor Allen Buchanan will officiate and burial will take place in Rosedale Cemetery at a later date. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Bill McWilliams, son David McWilliams, her sister Phyllis Gregor and her brother-in-law Paul Gregor. She is survived by her son Grant (Joyce) and grandchildren, Kathryn, Ian (Jen) and great granddaughter Grace, and Allen, son Murray (Sandy)and grandson Lucas, daughter Sandra (Jim) White and grandchildren Leaha, great grandchildren MacKenzie and Piper Kulherst, Rhesa (James) and great grandchildren Dustin and Samantha Legare, Megan (Taylon) and great grandchildren Hailey, Keaton and Logan Munteanu; and daughter-in-law Carol McWilliams. Mom was born in Calgary, Alberta on May 3rd, 1912, raised around the Chaplin area then moved to Moose Jaw to live and work. She met Bill McWilliams and they married in January of 1940, celebrating 60 years together. They moved to the farm at Stelcam, Sask. where they farmed and raised four children.
