Demi Delee McKechnie
The Heavens have one more star.

Demi Delee McKechnie was born on October 19th, 1993.  From the moment she was born she brought love and light to her family.  As she grew, that spread to her friends and all those around her.  Tragically, Demi was taken from us all far too soon on Friday, February 23rd, 2018.  She was predeceased by her hero and big brother, Devin; grandparents, Eva and Duncan McKechnie; cousin, Mark McKechnie; uncles, Karl and Otto Hansen, and Butch McKechnie; and grandma, Fern New.  Demi will be lovingly missed by her parents, Marlon (Leslie) and Denise (Pete); and sister, Destiny (Dustin).  Demi was an adoring Aunty to niece, Draven and nephew, Dace.  She will also be missed her love, Dylan Fritz; grandparents, Opal and Wally Schick; Grandma Schick; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.  Demi was a devoted sister, daughter, aunty and friend.  A Celebration of Demi’s Life will be held on Saturday, March 3rd, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Alliance Church, 14 Neslia Pl, Moose Jaw, SK.  Chaplain Adam Driscoll will officiate and a private family interment will take place at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to two causes that were close to Demi’s heart: Moose Jaw Minor Hockey Association, 370 Saskatchewan St W, Moose Jaw, SK S6H 2T2 or The Moose Jaw Humane Society, Box 1658 Station Main, Moose Jaw, SK S6H 7K7.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Todd Sjoberg, Funeral Director 306-693-4550
