Ada married Murray McKay in 1968 in Lethbridge, AB and lived on the McKay family farm south of Riverhurst, SK where Ada enjoyed gardening, cooking and visiting family and friends. Ada and Murray retired to live in Riverhurst and spent a few winters vacationing in Arizona and California. Ada spent the last few months in IverMain Place, a nursing home in Central Butte, SK. Ada was a very strong person which was revealed through the heartache she endured in her life. Her unconditional love for her children and many grandchildren, of whom she always held dear to her heart, will always be cherished. Ada enjoyed life to its fullest and was always quick to ‘entertain’! She lovingly passed these qualities onto her children and grandchildren. Ada made many strong and lasting friendships throughout the years. Family would like to thank Dr. Khaladkar, physicians and staff at the Regina General Hospital for their compassionate care of Ada. Family would also like to thank staff and residents at IverMain Place for the wonderful care and friendship Ada received. The Funeral Service was held on Monday, December 3rd, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in the Riverhurst Community Hall. Pastor Marvin Seaborg was officiant. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Ada’s name to IverMain Place, Box 550, Central Butte, Sk. S0H 0T0.
