Laura Minetta McIntyre

Laura Minetta McIntyre (nee Chappel) passed away in the Moose Jaw Union Hospital on June 22nd, 2010, at the age of 92.  Laura was born July 24, 1917, in the Eastview District, and was blessed with a long, full life. Laura was predeceased by her parents Earl and Hilda Chappel (nee Carter); husband Neil (Jan. 1994); brother Filmer; daughter-in-law Barb (April 1994); grandson Dean (June 15, 2001); and numerous sisters and brothers-in-law.  Laura is survived by her sons, Don (Kathy) and Cam (Joyce); grandsons, Lyle (Jennifer), Trent (Stacey), and Greg (Laura); great-grandchildren, Julia, Nathan, Chloe, and Gage. Laura will also be missed by her sister, Ethel Wolstenholme; brother Cliff (Heidi) Chappel; and in-laws Ruth McIntyre, Jean Sapergia, Sandy (June) McIntyre, Ella Willis, and Sheila McIntyre; as well as her many nieces, nephews, and friends.  Laura and Neil were foster parents for many years, and she was a long-time member of the Rebekah Lodge. She loved to play cards and visit with family or her many friends at Timothy Eaton’s which was her home for the last 3 ½ years.  A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 26th, 2010 at 3:00 PM in Moose Jaw Funeral Home with Pastor John Duerksen officiating.  Family burial will take place at Rosedale Cemetery.  Memorial donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
