Peggie McHolm
Peggie McHolm (Gomersall) born October 28th, 1942 passed away on September 30th, 2011. Predeceased by her father and mother Bill and Irene Gomersall; and brother Bill Gomersall Jr. She will be sadly missed by her husband of 47 years, Ted; daughter Janet (Evert Gustafson) of Calgary; son Travis (Dianna) of moose Jaw; sister Sherry (Barry) Quam of Montmarte; brother Doug (Joan) of Galilee; and her 6 granddaughters: Jenna, Samantha, Ashley, Brittany, Rae-Anne and Jasmin. Peggie grew up on the family ranch in the Mayberry district. Cattle and horses were her main interests as a young girl. She competed in gymkana events and barrel racing at rodeos all over Saskatchewan. Her and her big black horse “Whirlwind” were often in the money at the rodeos. She went on to receive her teachers certificate and taught school until 1964 when marrying Ted and starting a family on a farm of their own. She worked several years at Valley View Centre and was a horse show mom while Janet and Travis showed Appaloosa horses. Peggie will be sadly missed by all her family and friends. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, October 5th, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. with Reverend Lynne Clarke officiating.
