Norma Jean McCrea
Norma Jean McCrea, aged 74 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 21st, 2016. She was predeceased by her parents, William and Ruth Patton; son, Jim McCrea; and brother-in-law, Allen McCrea. Norma will be lovingly remembered by husband, Murray McCrea, her children: Sandra (Garry) Bachiu, Stan (Sherri) McCrea and Doug (Sandy) McCrea; grandchildren: Cheryl (Jaden) Schollar, Brandon (Brandy) McCrea, Patrick McCrea, Nolan Kuffner, Dylan (Anne-Marie) Kuffner, Vanessa (Ken) Hess, Nicolas Bachiu, Kayden McCrea, Davin McCrea, Allison McCrea and Cody McCrea; great-grandchildren, Parker McCrea and Zander Campion; brothers: Bill Patton (Aileen), John Patton (Connie) and George Patton (Inge); sister, Carol Christopherson (Lorne); brother-in-law, Gordon (Joyce) McCrea; and sister-in-law, Audrey McCrea. Norma was born on September 13th, 1941 in Regina, SK. She met Murray McCrea at Dawson Creek in 1958 and were married there in 1960. They then moved to the farm at McCord, SK in April 1965 and together they raised 4 children. Murray and Norma bought an early retirement home in Moose Jaw in 1992, where she enjoyed spending time attending garage sales and bingo, before moving there permanently in 2008. She loved spending time at the Casino and made many dear friends there. Norma loved flowers and sitting in the backyard listening to the radio. Her health started to deteriorate in early 2016. Norma was a very generous, friendly, warm and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, and she will be missed dearly. In keeping with Norma’s wishes, a Private Family Service will be held. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Norma’s name may be made to the Saskatchewan Lung Association, Box 58000, Saskatoon, SK S7K 7Y4.
