Edward Byron Marzolf
Edward Byron Marzolf of Central Butte passed away peacefully on Friday, January 29th, 2010 in Moose Jaw Union Hospital following a short illness. Born September 22nd, 1924 near Thunder Creek, Ed farmed near his parents homestead. Ed married Dorothy Lasota in 1952 and together they built a successful farm and raised a family. Ed was particularly proud of his irrigation project and supported many community organizations including the Pine Lake Community Club, the Central Butte Recreation Board and the local hospital. Ed is predeceased by his parents Mike and Amye (Harstad); sisters Alvera Woolacott and Orelee Grosfield; brothers Howard and Gordon. He is survived by his siblings Sadie Wilson (Victoria BC), Archie (Evelyn) Marzolf (Edmonton) and Gorda Seymour (Kelowna BC), wife Dorothy and his children HelenMarzolf and Tim Lilburn (Victoria), James Marzolf (Marathon ON), Graham Marzolf and Shelley Muhle (Central Butte), John and Kathleen Marzolf (Edmonton), Vernon Marzolf (Saskatoon), Laurel Marzolf and Doug Burrell (Wolsley), Donna Marzolf and Patrick Livingston (Calgary), David and Gerilynn Marzolf (Central Butte), Mitchell Marzolf and Tanya Savage as well as grandchildren Maya Savage, Seth Marzolf, Taylor Marzolf, Parker Marzolf and Calsy Marzolf. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 6th, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Pastor Marvin Seaborg will officiate and interment will take place in Central Butte Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Central Butte Health Care Foundation for Central Butte Regency Hospital, Box 582, Central Butte, Sk, S0H 0T0.
