KATHLEEN EMILY MARTELL
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Kathy Martell on Thursday, December 10th, 2015. Kathy was a kind, gentle, loving person who would do anything for anyone. She was predeceased by her husband, Marty; parents, John and Joyce; and son, John Gregory. Kathy is survived by her son, David (Cheryl); son, Kevin (Crystal); grandchildren: Shea (Jayme) and Ryan (Amber), as well as her brothers, sister, in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins. Kathy held her family dear to her heart. She was the co-pilot/navigator of the Martell’s as she was a big part of this military family. Kathy’s life gave her the opportunity to see Canada, from Cold Lake, AB to Summerside, PEI, and to share her many talents and gift of the gab with a lot of different people. Kathy was a very talented artist, doing oil and water colour paintings. Many people may remember her as one of Moose Jaw’s local Bag Ladies, she could put on quite the show. Kathy loved to dance and was always the first on the dance floor and last off at the end of the night. Kathy was a legal secretary in Moose Jaw for many years. Being the mother of three boys, all going different directions at different times, her organizational skills didn’t stop there as she was very involved with the Royal Canadian Legion as President and long-time member. Kathy was involved in a lot of extra-curricular activities in and around Moose Jaw. She was an avid golfer, baseball player, bowler and curler. Kathy was also a huge fan of the Snowbirds Air Demonstration Team, as each year she was invited out to 15 Wing to view the Snowbirds Opening and Closing show for the year, and she would get a tear in her eye every time she saw them. She will leave a lot of fond memories in a lot of people’s hearts and minds. Kathy will be deeply missed and will forever remain in our hearts. Our heartfelt thanks are extended for the precious care received by the Palliative Home Care team. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, December 16th, 2015 at 1:00 pm in Moose Jaw Funeral Home with Pastor Marvin Seaborg officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane. James Murdock, Funeral Director 306-693-4550
