GEORGE (DOC) GILBERT MANLEY
George G. Manley passed away in the Regina General Hospital on Tuesday, January 10th, 2017 with his family by his side, after a courageous battle with cancer. George was born on January 2nd, 1933 in Codette, SK. He enlisted in the Canadian Air Force on January 20th, 1954 and served on many bases in Canada and abroad. He was a proud member of the Legion. George met the love of his life, Dorothy E. Rother, and they were married in Nipawin, SK on December 28th, 1956. They had 3 children: John, Brad and Robin. George enjoyed landscaping, RV travel, camping, and going to the Casino. He was an avid story teller and was told once or twice that he should write a book. His family and friends will miss his laughter and enthusiasm. He was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy; father, William; mother, Elizabeth; brother, Ken; and sister, Lorraine. George is survived by his sons, John (Phyllis) and Brad (Heather); daughter, Robin (Kris); grandchildren: Derek, Cole, Kyle M., Lindsey, Danielle, and Kyle L.; and great-grandchildren, Eligh and Hannah. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, June 30th, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in Rosedale Cemetery.
