Douglas Richard Benjamin Malfair

Douglas Richard Benjamin Malfair passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 17th, 2016 in Moose Jaw, SK at the age of 29 years.  Doug is survived by his mother, Shay Malfair (Skip) of Moose Jaw; the love of his life, D’Lainie and children Emilee and Kaelum of Moose Jaw; siblings: Matt (Kim) and daughter Journey, Hailey and twins Aviana and Kiana, Tori, and Falynn (Carl) and daughter Ava.  He was predeceased by his grandmother, Verna Dyck; Poppa, Benjamin Dyck; cousin, Tayler Jeffries; father, Brent Malfair; and stepfather, Bradley William Webber.  Doug was born on February 28th, 1987 in Edmonton, Alberta and grew up in Sylvan Lake, Alberta.  His family relocated to Moose Jaw in 2003.  After arriving in the friendly city, Doug began working as a baker for Tim Hortons, then as a cook at Joeys Only, and then eventually moved on to work at McKarrs Furniture.  Doug will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by all who knew him.  A Private Family Service to celebrate Doug’s life will take place in Moose Jaw with Dave Foley officiating.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Gary McDowell, Funeral Director 306-693-4550
