Mae Violet MacLowich
Mae Violet MacLowich completed her life peacefully on January 3rd, 2012 at age 86. Mae was born October 16th, 1925 in Regina, Saskatchewan. After completing high school and secretary training, she went to work as a medical secretary. She met Peter MacLowich at the Regina Fair in 1946. They married June 14th, 1947. They moved to Moose Jaw and Mae worked for Dr. McIntyre until she started her family in 1953. Mae liked to read and cook but especially loved to sing in the church choir. She became a resident of St. Anthony’s and then a long time resident of Providence Place; in fact, being one of their original residents when they opened in 1995. Mae was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Minnie Krasko; her husband, Peter in 1995; her siblings, William and Norman; and sister-in-law, Mary. She leaves to mourn her three sons: James (Oralynn Biggs), Brent (Marlys Benson) and Bruce (Tracy); as well as five grandchildren: Jill (Kelsey Froese), Caleb, Andie, Jessica and Emily; and two great-grandchildren, Emily and Pierce. A private family graveside service was held in her honour on January 9th, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Rosedale Cemetery with Reverend John Kreutzwieser officiating.
