John Ludwar
After a brief battle with cancer, it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John on Wednesday, May 23 rd, 2007 at the age of 82 years. John was born on May 22 nd, 1925 in Bayard, Saskatchewan. He was predeceased by his parents John and Anna Ludwar; two brothers Anton and Thomas; five sisters Elizabeth, Mary, Wilma, Annie and Theresa; six brothers in law Rudolph Morhart, Fred Schick, Clarence Egely, Joe Rossler, John Flegel, and Gottfried Harlos; first wife Mary; and his second wife Pearl. John is survived by his sisters Gertrude (Joe) Fikowski, and Agnes Harlos; sister in law Elsie Ludwar; step sons Michael (Wendy) Demassi, Anthony (Karen) Demassi; four grandchildren Corey (Kristy) Demassi, Leanne (Lee) Meili, Derek and Krista Demassi; four great grandchildren; special friend Lena Gabel and family. John was educated at Habsburg School. He did farm work and then bought some land in 1946. In 1959 he bought the garage in Bayard. He also worked at A.P. Green Refractories in Claybank. Since his retirement in 1990, John loved dancing, and being with friends and playing cards. The Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, May 28 th, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Joseph ‘s Roman Catholic Church, 1064 3 rd Ave. N.W. Fr. Tony Sevali will be presiding Celebrant and interment will take place at Rosedale Cemetery. A Prayer Service will be held on Sunday, May 27 th, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home.
