Harold was born in Palmer, Saskatchewan on February 18th, 1931. He grew up in the Mossbank area where he met the love of his life Adeline. They married on February 26th, 1949. They worked alongside each other and with his brother Albert in the family owned butcher shop/grocery store for over 40 years, serving the town of Mossbank and surrounding area. Harold was a sports enthusiast and always gave his all to the sport. In his younger years he played softball and hockey. His later years he would been seen sharing conversation and coffee with the men, played rummy in the winter and curled in many bonspiels with his family and friends. His true passion was golf and over the years he won a lot of firsts! Harold designed the Mossbank Golf Course and held the course record. Harold has played every golf course in Saskatchewan. In his retirement years, he was the caretaker of the Mossbank Golf Course and took pride in his work.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Waldner, Dr. Brabant and their side kick Mary-Lou, the staff at Pioneers Lodge, and to all family and friends, who have visited and sent words of encouragement, heart felt prayers and listening ears. We want to say “Thank-you.”
In keeping with Harold’s wishes a Private Family Service will be held at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Harold’s name may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
