Lori Lynn Lindquist
Lori Lynn Lindquist (née: Baer) aged 65 years of Chaplin, SK, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 2nd, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.
Lori was born on February 11th, 1958 in Regina, SK and moved to Chaplin in 1965. She met the love of her life, Glen Lindquist, while attending Chaplin School, whom she married on September 18th, 1976.
Lori’s exceptional cooking skills allowed her to share her talents with all of her family, friends, and neighbours while operating the restaurant at the Old 1 & 19, and often spoiling the town with her Chinese smorgs at the Chaplin Hotel. There is no artistic ability that she did not perfect. From her first love of painting to her most recent passion of creating hand-made jewelry, it was always done with precision.
Lori and Glen have been spending summers at Palliser Park with their Canadian friends and have wintered in Yuma with their Arizona family for the past 10 years. Living beside the shuffleboard courts in Arizona, she became a champion of the game and of many park tournaments.
She was predeceased by her parents, Harold and Myrna (née: Miller) Baer. Lori will always be lovingly remembered by her husband, Glen; son, Jeff (Carla) Lindquist and their sons Alexander and Erik of Swift Current, SK; son, Kris (Kristyn) and their daughter Sydni of Swift Current, SK; daughter, Deanna (Sheldon) Moore and their son Ethyn of Chaplin, SK; and sister, Cheri (Bob) Boeschen and daughter Stacey (Curtis) Nimalovitch of Delisle, SK. She is also survived by and will be missed by Uncle Ken (Marilyn) Baer of Moose Jaw, SK; and her extended family of cousins, nieces and nephews.
The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 15th, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chaplin Community Complex. Pastor Marvin Seaborg will officiate and interment will take place in Chaplin Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Lori’s name may be made to the Cancer Foundation of Saskatchewan, 200-4545 Parliament Ave, Regina, SK S4W 0G3 or a charity of one’s choice.
