Leonardo Libarnes

Leonardo Libarnes, aged 49 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away on Monday, January 14th, 2013 at his home.  The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 19th, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in Church of Our Lady, 566 Vaughan St., Moose Jaw, SK.  Father Carlos Jimenez will be the presiding celebrant and interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery.  A Prayer Service will be held on Friday, January 18th, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home.  Leonardo was born May 22nd, 1963 in Surigao City, Philippines.  Leonardo is survived by his parents, Samuel and Maura (Mejia); wife, Narcisa; daughter, Rhea; sister, Luzminda (Victor) Beltran; brothers: Samuel J.R. (Carmelita), Jodelito and Nelson (Maria Corazon); and many loving nieces, nephews and extended family.  He graduated from Surigao National High School in 1980 and from the University of Cebu in 1984.  He was an avid baseball fan of the Toronto Blue Jays.  He loved cooking and spending time with his family.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Leonardo’s name may be made to Moose Jaw Health Foundation for Home Care, 455 Fairford St. E., Moose Jaw, SK S6H 1H3.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Jeff Ofstie, Funeral Director. 693-4550.
