Kay Leugner
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our mother, Kay Leugner, on September 14th, 2010 at the Moose Jaw Union Hospital. Kay was born February 23rd, 1917 on the family farm to Thomas and Fanny Haywood. She married Otto Leugner in 1939 and together they farmed on various farms until they purchased the farm at Crestwynd. In 1967, they sold the farm and moved to Moose Jaw and Kay pursued an active life with grandchildren, bowling and bingo. Kay walked all the time and she loved her trips to the Casino. Kay was predeceased by her mother and father, husband Otto and two sisters, Doris and Hilda. Kay will be lovingly remembered by her sons Lloyd (Joylyn)and their daughter Chantelle (Derik), Orville(Darlene) and their children Mark (Lori) and Lorna (Grant), Clayton (Joan) and their children Shauna (Dean), Clint, Shanie (Sean) and Chad (Teah), Elton (Linda) and their children Michelle (Edwin) and Michael (Jane); daughter Elaine (Wayne) and their children Aaron and Amy (Chris); sister Phyllis (Jack) Heckenlaible and special friend, Carlie Shepherd of Edmonton and her daughter Deanna (Dave). Kay also leaves to mourn many great-grandchildren and numerous cousins here and abroad. Mom was a very private person. In keeping with Kay’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. For those so wishing, donations in Kay’s name may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
