Clara Leugner

Clara Leugner, aged 93 years of Central Butte, SK, passed away on Wednesday, August 21st, 2013.  The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 27th, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in Church of Our Lady, 566 Vaughan St., Moose Jaw, SK.  Father Carlos Jimenez will be the presiding celebrant and interment will take place at Rosedale Cemetery.  She was predeceased by her first husband, John Zurowski; her second husband, John Leugner; and an infant son.  Clara will be lovingly remembered by her children: Donald (Johanna) Zurowski, Dennis (Rae) Zurowski, Marilyn (Craig) Kurz, Larry (Loralyn) Leugner, Ken (Millie) Leugner and Ron Leugner; grandchildren: Shannon, Jayson, Danielle, Geri-Lynn, Jordan, Ashley, Jamie and Amanda; numerous great-grandchildren; and numerous siblings and other relatives.  Clara was a very hard worker and loved life on the farm.  She always had a bountiful garden from which she produced a full pantry of homemade everything.  She especially loved family gatherings where she would make a home-cooked meal for 30 – 50 people.  Clara enjoyed any and all travelling, and in the last few years, developed a passion for playing cards.  She was an avid sports fan and loved to follow her Roughriders.  The family would like to extend a special thank you to Madeline and Art Landry for their very special care and time spent with Clara.  As an expression of sympathy, donations in Clara’s name may be made to a charity of one’s choice.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Jeff Ofstie, Funeral Director. 306-693-4550.
