Freda Ruth Leggott

Freda Ruth Leggott passed away September 5th, 2010 after a lengthy illness.  Ruth was predeceased by her mother Alena Back, father Alfred Back, husband Durham Leggott, 3 brothers Buster, Len and Harold and 4 sisters Elsie, Edith, Vera and Ella.  Ruth is survived by her partner Bert Davey; sons George (Catherine)and Terry (Jacki); daughter Cheryl (Richard); 9 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; sister Hilda Stuart of Calgary, AB.; and numerous nieces and nephews.  Ruth was born and raised on the family farm at Eskbank.  Being the youngest in a big family, she had countless memories and stories of a life she loved.  She never outgrew her love of horses and the outdoors and always considered the farm home.  After settling in Calgary for many years, Ruth and Bert moved back to Moose Jaw in 2006 to be closer to family and friends.  Ruth had many hobbies over the years including her painting, ceramics, puzzles, baking and cards.  She loved holidays where a turkey dinner was always followed by hours of cards, which were never quiet card games.  Ruth was a lady full of life and spunk and will be sadly missed and remembered with a smile.  A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 18th, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Thomson of Trinity United Church officiating.  Donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Assoc., 917A Albert St., Regina, SK.
