R. Gary Lawson
R. Gary Lawson, aged 73 years of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan passed away peacefully, with his family by his side on Sunday, October 25th, 2009. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, October 27th, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Pastor Marvin Seaborg will officiate and interment will take place at Bethany Lutheran Cemetery at a later date. Gary was predeceased by his two sons Kevin John (1966) and Andrew John (1968); his parents Harry and Florence; sister Eleanor; brothers Jim and Lloyd; sisters in law May, Norma and Joyce; as well as his brother in law Joe. Gary is survived by his loving wife Sandra; his children Perry (Betty), Yolanda (Corrie) Kilback, Nancy (Todd) Praski; grandchildren Jody (Damon) Johnson, Jessie (Greg) Lasko, Andrew Lawson, Lyndon and Dolan Kilback, Damon and Samantha Praski; great grandson Noah Johnson; sisters Betty (Michael) Cuch and Dorothy Loblaw; brother Don (Helen); brothers in law Tom (Francis) Taylor, Donald (Sharon) Taylor; sister in law Janet Taylor; his very special cousins; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as a very special nephew Chris Taylor. Gary was born in Moose Jaw and grew up in Parkbeg and Mortlach. He was a Grain Buyer for the Patterson Co. and United Grain Growers in Assiniboia, Craik, Dilke, Indian Head and Palmer. He was a member of the St. John’s Lodge in Assiniboia and the Bethany Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Gary’s name to the Bethany Lutheran Cemetery Fund.
