DOROTHY LAROCQUE (née STEPHEN)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dorothy on Tuesday, March 22nd, 2016 at the age of 84 years.  Dorothy was born on May 2nd, 1931 in Winnipeg, MB.  She was predeceased by her husband, Bob; parents, James and E. Christina Stephen; and sister, Elizabeth Blanchard.  Dorothy is survived by her children: Doug Fisher (Patti), Ray Fisher (Gilda), Joanne Debruyn (Garth), Brian Fisher (Nancy), Cheryl Luker (Robert) and Tracy Smolinski (Jeff); and her many nieces and nephews.  She loved spending time with her 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, and her canine companion Kelly.  Dorothy had many special people in her life, with an honorable mention to Carol Perry.  Thank you to the special staff at Extendicare who looked after her with such grace, compassion and kindness.  The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 28th, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home.  Reverend Doug Shepherd will officiate and interment will take place at Rosedale Cemetery.  A Time of Visitation for Family and Friends will be held on Saturday, March 26th, 2016 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home.  As an expression of sympathy, donations in Dorothy’s name may be made to The Moose Jaw Humane Society, Box 1658 Station Main, Moose Jaw, SK S6H 7K7 or the Canadian Cancer Society, 1910 McIntyre St, Regina, SK S4P 2R3.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Todd Sjoberg, Funeral Director 306-693-4550
