Bernice Langton
Bernice Langton, aged 82 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away on Tuesday, December 2nd, 2014. She was born in Regina, SK on December 13th, 1931. Growing up she was very passionate about playing basketball. She was offered a full basketball scholarship to the University of Saskatchewan but unfortunately had to decline due to family obligations. She continued to be an avid fan and player, but after she had children, her passion eventually turned to her Saskatchewan Roughriders. Bernice could be heard in the hallways yelling at the TV regarding questionable plays on game day. She had very strong opinions as to how they could improve their game! Bernice raised 10 children while working as a cook at well-established restaurants in Moose Jaw. After retiring in 1996, she spent many years traveling back and forth across the Alberta and Saskatchewan borders, visiting her kids and helping out with the addition of new grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son, Tim; granddaughters, Miaja and Daylene; brother, Jack and her parents. Bernice will be lovingly remembered by her children: Maureen (Bill), Sharon, Trent (Kathy), Patrick (Karen), Tracy (Dale), Brent (Ang), Maryellen (Gary), Shannon (Kevin) and Karen (Corey); grandchildren: Jennifer, Mark, Shawn, Shannon, Misty, Jessie, Jeremiah, Casey, Christopher, Kelly, Marcia, Michele, Nicole, Colleen, Belinda, Courtney, Darcy, Kyla, Kurtis, Kaitlyn, Joanne, Mandee, Justine, Samantha, Shane, Jayleen and Bryten; great-grandchildren: Sterling, Arienne, Dymond, Kaynen, Skylar, Justyce, Destin, Nevaeh, Ruger, Lennox, Jaime, Eden, Maguire, Addison, Talyn, Annabelle, Danica, Makayla, Adriana, Makhi, Madyson, Deegan, Kallie, Jason, Chloe, Emmett and Tatem: and great-great-grandchild, Arabella. The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, December 7th, 2014 at 5:30 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home with Father Rick Krofchek officiating. Flowers are gratefully declined.
