It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Bonnie Ann Lane on Sunday, March 28th, 2010 at the Moose Jaw Union Hospital, after a courageous battle with Crohn’s disease and Renal failure. Bonnie passed away at the age of 52 with her family and friends by her side. She will always be remembered for her spunk and positive outlook on life. Left to cherish wonderful memories are her loving husband of 33 years Terry Lane and their sons Nathan of Kamloops and Jordan of Moose Jaw; her parents Tony and Sadie Mehler of Devon, AB; brothers Barry (Joanne) Mehler of Spruce Grove, AB and Terry (Marnie) Mehler of Beaumont, AB; sister Lorna Tollman of Ft. McMurray, AB; sisters-in-law Joan (Ron) Hastings of Candle Lake, Linda (Keith) Koberinski of North Battleford and Wendy (Victor) Legare of Moose Jaw; brother-in-law Ricky Lane of Medicine Hat, AB; as well as aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins; and many dear and supportive friends. Bonnie was predeceased by her father-in-law Reginald Lane and mother-in-law Dorothy Lane as well as brother-in-law Robert Tollman. Bonnie was born August 7th, 1957 at Estevan, Sask. where she did her schooling. She moved to Moose Jaw in 1974 to attend Cosmotology School, which is where she met the “love of her life”, her instructor Terry. They married in 1976 and made their home in Moose Jaw where they opened their business “A Cut Above” Unisex Styling Shop. Bonnie has enjoyed many lasting friendships made through their 30 years in business. Bonnie was so proud of her sons Nathan and Jordan and she so enjoyed their many sports and school activities. She was their biggest cheerleader. Bonnie had a great love for cooking and this was evident through her many “theme suppers”, whether it was Mexican, Italian or Greek. She loved interior decorating and working in her flower garden. Bonnie shared special times with her friends, scrap booking, going to candle and spice parties. She enjoyed her life to the fullest. Bonnie participated and was a member of the St. Mark’s Presbyterian Church, The Christian Women’s Club, Stampin Up Club and the Moose Jaw Warrior’s Booster Club. In keeping with Bonnie’s wishes, there will be a Private Family Service held at a later date. Bonnie was passionate about the “organ donation program”. She gave her organs unselfishly so that someone else might benefit and have a healthier life. In keeping with her wishes, please consider signing your organ donor card. For those so wishing, memorial donations may be made in Bonnie’s memory to the Moose Jaw Union Hospital, Renal Dialysis Unit in care of the Moose Jaw Health Foundation, 455 Fairford St. East, Moose Jaw, Sask. Our Special Place in Heaven
There’s a special place in heaven
that’s reserved for you and I,
A special little place in our
home up in the sky.
And if God calls me to Heaven
and I reach it before you,
I promise I’ll take care of it the
way you’d want me to.
I will keep it warm and tidy
the way you like a home to be,
And I’ll decorate it with Heaven’s
flowers, angels’ songs and poetry.
