John LaLonde
(July 17, 1981 – September 15, 2023)
It’s with heavy hearts that we share the news that John James LaLonde lost his lengthy battle with mental health struggles and addictions on September 15, 2023.
John was predeceased by grandparents Lois & Alf Berry and Rose & Wilf LaLonde. He is survived by mother Connie and father Jim, Brother Curt (Desiree), Harley (Chantel) & Hanna, Sister Erin (Phil), Tristan & Ryder, and Sister Kelly (Will), Cassidy and Owen.
John was a hard worker and was always mechanically inclined. You could find him taking apart something or other, fixing it and putting it back together. One of his ambitions was to become a heavy duty mechanic. He spent many years on the road taking up the family passion and driving truck. He put on many miles hauling cattle. John loved to laugh and make others laugh too. He loved animals, especially dogs and would always have a pet or two.
John left this world just like he came in… premature.
A Celebration of John’s life as a come-and-go memorial event will be held in the basement of St. John’s Church at 19 McFadden Ave, Marquis, SK from 2-5 pm on Saturday September 23, 2023.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (https://www.camh.ca/) or the Moose Jaw Humane Society Box 1658 Station Main Moose Jaw, SK S6H 7K7. Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane. Gary McDowell, Funeral Director 306-693-4550
