Cecile Carole LaBelle (née Rach)
Cecile Carole LaBelle (née Rach) entered into eternal peace on Saturday, July 23rd, 2016. She will be greeted in heaven by her father, George Rach; brothers, Keith and Kevin; and Judy LaBelle, to name a few. Born on October 24th, 1943, Carole spent her early years in Spring Valley, SK. Upon finishing High School, she attended Teacher’s College at the University of Regina. As a young woman, Carole also spent time working at the Winnipeg Library, and had a lifelong passion for literature. Red Deer, Calgary, and Brandon were also home for some time, before returning to Ormiston, SK to retire. Carole wed Roger LaBelle on July 9th, 1966 and together they shared 50 years of adventure. Their travels took them backpacking in Europe, exploring Canada coast to coast, and on road trips throughout much of the United States. For the last 19 years they have enjoyed their winters in Mexico, where they have spent time with friends new and old. Carole was a devoted mother. She volunteered in her children’s school libraries, sewed dance costumes, and spent years driving Mom’s Taxi. She brought the same devotion and love to her relationships with her seven grandchildren, who were her greatest joy. Her daughters, Michelle (Paul) and Monique (Andrew), along with their families, will miss her tremendously. Carole is also mourned by her mother, Helen Rach; sister, Lee (Randy) Zaremba and family; as well as her extended family and many friends she loved so much. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 30th, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Spring Valley Roman Catholic Church. Father Prince will officiate and interment will follow in the Spring Valley Roman Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Carole’s name may be made to the Spring Valley Cemetery Fund, Box 97, Spring Valley, SK S0H 3X0. All are invited for a visit and lunch at the Interpretive Centre next to the Church. The family would like to thank everyone for all of the love, prayers, and offers of help they have received, and recognizes the difficulty in travelling so far. Knowing that your hearts are with theirs in this time is all that they ask. Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane. Calvin Gammel, Funeral Director 306-693-4550
