Cecil Kwasnica
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Cecil after a lengthy illness with diabetes and heart disease on Thursday, November 29th, 2007 at the age of 74 years. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 4th, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home (268 Mulberry Lane) with Pastor Doug Shepherd officiating. Cecil was born in Moose Jaw on August 20th, 1933. He worked as an estimator and construction manager throughout a lengthy career. He especially enjoyed his last 10 years working for the National Research Council in Regina. After his retirement in 1997, Cecil enjoyed golfing and bowling and watching the Saskatchewan Roughriders. He enjoyed nature, spending time in his yard and particularly the family dog (Trouble). Cecil was predeceased by his parents Fred and Nettie; two sisters: Helen Cross and Mary Belile. Cecil is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Signe and daughter, Anna of Moose Jaw; three sisters: Adeline Thomson (Alan), Jeanette Coombs both of Las Vegas and Shirley Jahnke of Edmonton. He is also survived by a much loving extended family, including many brothers and sisters in law and numerous nieces and nephews. As an expression of sympathy, memorials to the Moose Jaw Humane Society, Box 1658 Station Main, Moose Jaw, SK S6H 9Z9 or the Lutheran Association of Missionaries and Pilots, c/o L.A.M.P. 4966 – 92 Ave N.W. Edmonton, AB T6B 2V4 would be appreciated by the family.
