Josephine Julia Kurz (Nee Wendel)

Josie Kurz, aged 99 years of Central Butte Saskatchewan, passed away on Saturday, June 23 rd, 2007. Josie was born February 12 th, 1908 to John and Minnie Wendel in the Mawer District. Josie was predeceased by her parents; husband Earl Kurz of 63 years; son Ervin; granddaughter Dianne; sister Katie (Frank) Wolfe; brothers Karl Wendel, Philip (Esther) Wendel, and Henry Wendel; and sister Anne (George) Wendt. Josie is survived by her son Ron (Joy) of Central Butte, Sk, and daughter in law May Kurz of Mission, B.C.; grandchildren Hugh (Lorie) Kurz, Chris (Ric) Stovin, Perry (Sharyl) Kurz, Gay (Lew) Bell, Rich (Angie) Kurz, Gerry Kurz, Lynn Kruse, Earl Kurz, Julie Roulston, and Laurie Tosh; great grandchildren Heidi, Regan, Brianna and Cody Kurz, Ashley Stovin, Natasha Kurz, Alyssa and Karli Bell, Dawson, Mason and Jaxton Kurz; great great grandchildren Reese and Kaylee and many more great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; a very special niece Winnie Ellerman and many more nieces and nephews. Josie loved playing cards, especially bridge. She was very happy in Iver Main Place. She never forgot a birthday of her family including the grandchildren and many friends and relations. Grandma’s cookie jar was always full.
