Annie Kopeck
Beloved mother, grandma, great grandma, great great grandma and friend Annie Kopeck passed away peacefully on Friday, January 23 at the age of 104. Annie was welcomed into heaven by Steve, her husband of 67 years, daughters Eleanor Luciak and Evelyn Brooks, son-in-law Lloyd Knox. Annie was born on September 10, 1910 in Canora, SK. Annie and Steve moved to Moose Jaw in 1941 where she worked at Johnston Dairy and raised their family. Annie’s love of gardening was evident in her bountiful vegetable garden and colourful petunias, dahlias and geraniums. Annie always welcomed visitors into her home with an endless supply of Dr. Pepper and homemade cookies. Annie was predeceased by her parents Vasil and Zena Zorian, sister Katherine, and brothers Fred, John, Steve and Peter. Annie will be dearly missed by her daughters Irene Knox and Margaret Wilson; son Steven (Janet) Kopeck; sons-in-law Bill Luciak and Duane Brooks; sixteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren. The Funeral Service will be held in Moose Jaw Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. with Father Dean Pinter and Deacon Arleen Champion officiating. Interment will take place at Rosedale Cemetery. The family would like to express a sincere thank you to the tenants at Pioneer Village and staff at Pioneer Lodge, Palliative Unit for the love, care and compassionate shown to Annie.
