It is with great sadness that we announce that Calvin passed away, surrounded by family and friends, on Friday, May 4th, 2012 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.  He was predeceased by his parents, William and Emma (Hans) Koehler; brother, Gordon Koehler; and twin sister, June (Neal) Marvel.  Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife and best friend of 60 years, Beatrice (Betty).  He will be forever missed by his children: Deborah Hollinger (Garth) and their children Pamela, Rachelle (Huan) and Stephanie; Graham (Shelley) and children Kristin (Marty) and Steven; Lynda Fuhrman (Darcy) and their son Skyler; great-grandchildren: Evan, Jayden, Ryder and Annalise.  Calvin was a proud member of Doric-St. George #71 Lodge of the Order of Masons and the Moose Jaw Shrine Club.  Calvin was a people person.  He was always happiest when socializing with his many friends.  He was an avid hunter of large and small game and had a great passion for both golf and curling.  Special thanks to the staff at Providence Place for their dedicated and compassionate care.  At Calvin’s request there will be no Funeral Service.  A private graveside service will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Calvin’s name may be made to a charity of one’s choice.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Calvin Gammel, Funeral Director. 693-4550.
