Rita Sophie Klindt (Leifso)

Rita Sophie Klindt (Leifso) aged 82 years, passed away Saturday March 13th , 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer. Rita was born Mach 7th, 1928 in Verwood, Sk. She married Lyle Klindt in 1947, and they raised three sons on their farm at Crane Valley until later retiring to Moose Jaw. Rita was predeceased by her parents Ed and Louise Leifso, her eldest son Gerald; and two brothers. Rita is survived by her husband, Lyle of 62 years; two sons Roy (Heather) of Crane Valley and Wayne (Beatrice) of Tisdale; six grandchildren twin sisters Kathy and Christine, Reese, Connie, Cody and Kyle; two brothers; four sisters and many nieces and nephews. Rita loved the farm life, she also loved to cook and knit. She will long be remembered for her caring ways, always ready to help whoever needed a hand. Her memory will be treasured. The family wishes to thank all caregivers, family and friends for their support during this difficult time, with special mention to Daisy Ismond and Colleen Garrioch. TheFuneral Service will be held on Thursday, March 18th, 2010 at 2:00pm in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Reverend Doug Shepherd will officiate. Burial of cremains will take place at the Crane Valley Cemetery at a later date.
