Jeannette King
Jeannette King passed away at home on August 26th, 2010 after a long and extremely courageous battle with cancer. Jeannette was born on February 14th, 1944 to John and Mary Craigen. After high school, she attended Phillips Beauty School in Regina, Saskatchewan and graduated in 1961. Jeannette married Murray King on February 27th, 1965. They had four children and 9 grandchildren. Jeannette was predeceased by her mom and dad, John and Mary Craigen; father and mother-in-law, Earl and Adaline King; and nieces Krista and Jamie. Jeannette will be missed by her husband of 45 years, Murray; their 4 children and 9 grandchildren Brendan (Coni), Raquel, Robyn, Elaine, Ashleigh, and Noah; Keith (Michelle), Emily, Victoria, and Thomas; Rob (Kim); and Jan Marie (Harreson), Cade and baby to be. She will also be missed by her brother John (Liz) Craigen and sisters Lizz (Ben) Lomheim and Carole (Dave) Whitty; brothers and sisters-in-law Garth (Linda) King, Jim (Joan) King, Sandra (Paul) Wendt, Cheryl (Lorne) Marjerison and Bonnie (Vern) Mackow; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the Palliative Care Unit at the Moose Jaw Union Hospital for being an extraordinary source of knowledge and strength through these most difficult last few months as they cared for Jeannette at home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 31st, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church. Father Rick Krofchek will be the presiding celebrant. A Prayer Service will be held on Monday, August 30th, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Five Hills Health Region – Home Care/Palliative Care Program, 455 Fairford Street East, Moose Jaw, SK. S6H 1H3.
