Berniece Pearl Doris Kettlewell
Berniece Pearl Doris Kettlewell (née Lindquist) – It is with great sadness we announce the death of our dear mother and grandmother who passed away on December 20, 2013 at age 86 at Providence Place in Moose Jaw. Berniece was born on November 24, 1927 at Dryden, Ontario and moved at the age of six months with her family to a farm north-west of Brownlee, Saskatchewan. She moved into Brownlee with her mother and sisters when she was thirteen years old. She married Keith Kettlewell of Brownlee on December 4, 1948. Berniece was a dedicated homemaker and raised their family while Keith ran the family business, Brownlee Farm Equipment. After Keith’s death and deterioration of her health due to Parkinson’s disease, Berniece moved to Moose Jaw in 2009 and lived in various senior residences and nursing homes. Her passion in life was her children and grandchildren. She was happiest when her house was full of family and friends so she could listen to their stories and feed them delicious meals. Berniece graced our lives with her kindness and caring ways.
Berniece was predeceased by her father John Lindquist in 1962, mother Carolyna Lindquist (née Peterson) in 1966, infant daughter Doris in 1951, sister Alice in 1989, brother Clarence in 1997, and her husband Keith Kettlewell in 2008. She will be greatly missed by her children Edwin (Shirley) Kettlewell, David (Marian) Kettlewell, Shirley (Grant) Domes, Patricia Knutson, and Marilyn (Jim) Murray; her grandchildren Kimberley Kettlewell, Shelly (Steve) May, Lindsey Kettlewell, Clare Kettlewell, Brett Domes, Chelsey (Lance Pretty) Domes, Beau (Janaya Norrish) Knutson, Jordan (Jacquie Brown) Knutson, Kyle (Christie Cross) Knutson, Amy Knutson, Abby Murray, and Scott Murray; her great-grandchildren Camryn Redman, Rhett May, Kennedy May, Daxton Domes-Pretty, Mackenzie Norrish, and Landen Brown; her sisters Esther Wake and Agnes Jacobsen; and many nieces and nephews.
